Spring is coming!!

Even if it is not outside your window right now it will be here before we know it!! It was my turn on the DT to do the mini album kit for the month of March so with all this snow lately and dreary days I decided that I wanted it to be springy and bright! Something to help bring us out of this down in the dumps of winter blah feeling all us mid-westerners are definitely getting tired of. What better way to do it then with Imaginisce's new line for spring entitled "For Peeps Sake"! This line is so bright and beautiful with a very springy feeling to it! So here is what I did with this line for the mini-album:

The kit for this mini-album will be going on the Hannah's website for sale starting March 1st and you can see it up close and personal in the store right now!

Class was Awesome!!

I must say that my "Scrappin' on the Edge" class was a blast to teach!! I want to thank my students for it being so much fun!! Thank you Deb, Brenda, & Sherry, you girls rock! I had three very talented ladies that took the class materials and really made them their own which to me is what it is all about. I wish I had remembered to take photos of their finished product but as usual I was so wrapped up in enjoying them and their creativity that I totally spaced it! Oh well there will be a next time and I will do my best to make sure to actually use the camera instead of just lugging it along! Lol!! I can't wait to teach my next class in March! "Scrappin' on the Edge"!!

That is what my class that I will be teaching is all about on February 18th which is this coming Monday from 1pm to 3pm at Hannah's. The participants of this class are going to learn some really cool techniques and have lots of fun playing with different products like paint, ink & glimmer mists! This is the sample of what the class project will be which you can totally make your own using different color schemes, etc.. This photo just doesn't show the true colors of the layout so I took another photo with my flash that shows the true color much better but you will have to try and ignore the bright flash on the photo! Lol!! I am darned if I do and darned if I don't!! Anyways, if you are interested in joining me for this fun class give Hannah's a call and they will hook you up!! Hope to see you there!!
Happy Valentine's Day!!,

Love is in the Air!!

With the month of Love approaching way too fast I have been working on a project for my up and coming class for Hannah's entitled "Shabby Scrappin'"! So, I decided that for February I would turn my DT project into my class which is this really awesome little 7Gypsies tag book! And since the class is all about incorporating the distressed look into our scrapbooking and learning all the techniques that go along with that look I thought why not do what I LOVE with this cute little book and get Shabby! I love rich deep colors and the old world feel of distressing! I used a multitude of stamps from different manufacturers and a very cool antiquing ink along with some Tim Holtz Distressing inks. I had so much fun getting dirty doing this project that you would not believe how inky my hands have been for days! But, if you know me well you know that I usually have ink on my hands and a multitude of other places. It has gotten to the point that I need to wear my Making Memories apron when I scrap or I will not have any clothes that are not inked up anymore!! The sad part is that I love being all inky!! Lol!! It has this great sense of being a child again and having fun without a care in the world! I totally love that about this art form called scrapbooking!! Ok, here is a sneeky peeky of the book which is a Valentine's coupon book to give to someone special in your life.
Remember, this is just a sneeky peek at the book and if you want to see the whole thing you will have to go into to Hannah's to check it out!! Plus, sign up for the class and you will get to make this awesome book for your loved one! This class is going to be awesome and tons of fun! You will also get to learn how I do my signature chipboard letters along with a ton of other techniques and tips that you have always wanted to learn how to do!! This class will be happening on the 3rd of February from 11am - 1pm and on the 13th of February from 5pm - 7pm. I look forward to getting "Shabby" with you!!

Here is..............

some photos of a project that I completed for Hannah's using the Funky Vintage line from Making Memories. Yes, it is an older line of papers but one that I have always loved and I think it is timeless! I was giving this line to make a small mini-album with using the Funky Vintage line of mini-albums that Making Memories made to go with the papers. This was a project that took me awhile to complete because of course I had to get funky with it!! I decided to go with my crazy ideas which usually get me in trouble!! So with out further delay here it is:

Again, I must apologize for the really bad glare on some of the photos due to me taking the photos at the store instead of at home and being in too much of a hurry to worry about glare on the page protectors!! So, my bad!! The book is up at Hannah's for all to see with out the glare. I am off to work some more on a coupon love book for the store and then on to projects for up and coming classes that I will be teaching.

Happy Belated New Year!!

I have been such a bad bad blogger!! So much has been going on that I had to just shut myself down for awhile and get it together if you know what I mean. I finally found out at my doctor's appt. that I do not have Lupus thank the Lord!! I have some kind of connective tissue degeneration that they are saying links to the damage done to my body from the chemo treatments that I received way back when which was just what I had suspected. So needless to say there have been a ton of new meds and alot of sleeping going on! I want to thank you all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers because I know how much this keeps me going! I don't know what I would do without all of you!! As the song says "I get by with a little help from my friends"!! I have been working on getting stuff done for Hannah's and also planning and preparing some cool projects for upcoming classes that I will be teaching at Hannah's as well. As soon as I get some of it done you can expect to see some photos of them. Until next time, Tracy

Happy Holidays

I just wanted to pop in during this busy time of the year and wish everyone Happy Holidays!! Also, an update on everything that has been going on. I have not heard anything back from the base yet regarding my dr. appointments yet! I am still in standby mode and have an appt. during the first part of the New Year so hopefully something will have been figured out by then or I will probably have to go through more testing. So that is where that stands for now. I would also like to ask for everyone's prayers for a very special little girl who is in need of them right now. Her name is Audre and she is my friend Marci's daughter and is going through alot right now health wise with a very rare illness. Last I heard she was in the hospital so please pray for this special little angel and keep her in your hearts this holiday season.

Tracy

What a week!!

I am so glad that it is almost over!! This week most of my time has been taken up with running back and forth to dr. appts. at the base. On Tuesday at my routine cancer check-up I was told by my dr. that she suspects that I have developed Lupus!! I was totally taken back and shocked by that statement!! What the heck!! So needless to say that began my the long week of tests and I am exhausted just from going back and forth! I don't believe that I have Lupus in any way shape or form. I think this is just their way of putting an answer to all of the problems that I have had since I went through chemo 15 1/2 years ago! I mean come on, nothing works right since I had it and I developed all sorts of complications which in other words would be organ failures up the ying yang! So like a good girl I take all these meds they give me to keep everything running and functioning as well as can be which to me is pretty damn good if I don't say so myself!! Lol!! I live each day to it's fullest and in no way shape or form do I ever want anyone's sympathy because life for me is awesome!! I feel my life is way more enriched because of what I have been through not depleted!! So man oh man don't be throwing another thing at me because in my book so what! Life is still going to get lived and lived to it's fullest regardless of any new diagnosis! To me illness is just the bad trying to hold us back and I am not and will not be held back for or by nothing so bring it on!! I know, I know today I am getting a little preachy but dang it we are given this awesome gift each day to live and enjoy what God has made!! Today I am really reflecting on how awesome life really is and that if you maintain the PMA (positive mental attitude) nothing, I say nothing can stand in your way whether you are a healthy individual or someone with some bad stuff that you are dealing with! Life is short so grab the bull by the horns and live it baby, live it!! Okay, I am done now!! Lol!! Oh, and before I forget I am off to Hannah's tonight for the Crop and let me tell you it is going to be awesome!! There are going to be lots of demos and give aways and of course a new "Queen of the Crop" that I will be crowning tonight!! So major fun is to be had by all!!! Hope to see you there!! TFL, Tracy

Live, Laugh, Love

I turned in this 3 frame hanging set DT project yesterday at our meeting and found out it was hard to part with!! Lol!! I used the Marah Johnson Marquis line of paper from Creative Imaginations which is to die for!! Love, love, love it! I made this piece with my studio in mind so that when I get it back it will grace my wall. I had a lot of fun using the Making Memories Specialty Glazes on this along with their family of acrylic paints as well! And then of course my favorite stand by item, that I just love, Judikins Diamond Glaze! This is another one of my can't live without products (trust me I can't!!). I took the pics at the store so the lighting isn't the greatest and photo shopped them to death so hopefully you can see the detail and enjoy them as much as I do!
Here are some close ups of the individual frames to help see the details.

Now, I am going to get my hinder busy and work on my Funky Vintage album for the store so that I can have it done to turn in by next Friday which is crop night at Hannah's! I love the Making Memories Funky Vintage line and can't wait to start working with it!! Love the colors! OOOOHHHHH, and before I forget, I am so excited about tomorrow!!!! Tomorrow Amy and I are going to Hannah's and taking the 3 awesome classes instructed by none other than Danelle Johnson using the Creative Cafe line of goodies!!! Can you tell I am beyond excited!!?! Is it tomorrow yet? Lol!! And just so you know I haven't forgotten that alot of you have asked to see pics of my studio once I have it finished. I am still working on it and once I have completely finished, pics ye shall see! I promise!
Time to get cracking!!
TFL!!
